Day 3 of the Electoral Risk Management & Resilience Training in New Delhi is dedicated to practical learning and hands-on engagement with the Electoral Risk Management Tool (ERMTool).

Today, participants are exploring the ERMTool’s key functionalities, including:

💻 Log-in and customization features
📚 Digital library management
📋 Risk and action registers
📊 Analytical instruments for risk assessment and monitoring

Through practical exercises, participants are gaining first-hand experience using the tool to identify, assess, monitor, and respond to electoral risks throughout the electoral cycle.

By equipping Electoral Management Bodies with practical tools and methodologies for evidence-based risk management, the training supports stronger preparedness, resilience, and electoral integrity.

Local women leaders in the Comarca Ngäbe Buglé came together to discuss barriers to gender equality and explore concrete ways to advance participation and inclusion.

Last week, International IDEA’s Annika Silva-Leander joined the Canadian Vote Summit in Calgary, contributing a global perspective to discussions on the future of Canadian democracy alongside civil society, academia, electoral officials, public institutions and political parties from across the country.

The summit highlighted the importance of open dialogue, democratic resilience and addressing challenges before they become crises, reminding us that even strong democracies should never take democracy for granted.

The Electoral Risk Management & Resilience Training in New Delhi is underway!

Today, participants from 12 Electoral Management Bodies moved from theory to practice through interactive simulations and tabletop exercises focused on:

🔹Gender-sensitive and inclusive responses
🔹Scenario-based coordination and decision-making
