❤️'''ANOTHER WEEK, ANOTHER COMMUNITY LEARNING LIFE-SAVING SKILLS''

Another week means another ''two-day Community-Based Basic Life Support (BLS) Training'', this time with the residents of 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐤 𝟐.

The MDRRMO continues to bring basic life-saving skills closer to the community. During the two-day training, participants learned and practiced CPR, proper response to medical emergencies, like proper way of bandaging.

These are simple skills, but knowing what to do in the first few minutes of an emergency can make a big difference while waiting for help to arrive.

Thank you to the Samburon Purok 2 community for actively participating and taking the time to learn something that could one day help save a life.

We also appreciate the continued support of our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Procopio V. Chang, for making community-based disaster preparedness and life-saving training possible.

One purok at a time, we continue to build a community that knows how to respond when it matters most. ❤️

🌱 **BUILDING A SAFER COMMUNITY, ONE PUROK AT A TIME** 🤝

Thru the initiative of our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Procopio V. Chang, the MDRRMO started the By-Purok BDRRM/DRR Training at Samburon Purok 1, through a two-day community-based training.

The training focused on practical knowledge that community members can use before, during, and after an emergency. It also gave participants the chance to discuss the risks in their area, learn how to respond properly, and understand how they can help keep their families and neighbors safe.

This is only the beginning of the By-Purok BDRRM/DRR Training, which will continue in other puroks at every Barangay as we bring disaster preparedness closer to the community.

To all the participants of Barangay Samburon Purok 1 , thank you for your time, participation, and willingness to learn. Preparedness starts with people who know what to do and are ready to help when it matters.

🚨 STRENGTHENING LEADERSHIP FOR EFFECTIVE INCIDENT MANAGEMENT 🚨

The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Region X and the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) recently conducted the Incident Command System (ICS) Executive Course, facilitated by the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Region X CADREs, bringing together our Municipal Mayor, Sangguniang Bayan Members, Barangay Captains, and Department officials for a meaningful day of learning, discussion, and sharing of experiences.

This training gave our local leaders an opportunity to better understand how the Incident Command System can help us work together during emergencies and disasters—from making timely decisions and coordinating resources to ensure everyone knows their roles and responsibilities.

Our sincere thanks to our Municipal Mayor, 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐨 𝐕. 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠, Sangguniang Bayan Members, Barangay Captains, resource persons, and to all participants for giving their time and actively taking part in this important activity.

Together, we continue to learn, prepare, and strengthen our community—because when disaster strikes, working together makes a difference. 🤝💙

Anti-Burning Law

Burning of Leaves and Waste Materials is prohibited under Republic Act 9003 or the Ecological Solid Management Act (Section 48, Para 3). People found to violate this Law will be penalized with imprisonment of 1 to 15 days and a corresponding fine of P300.00 to P1000.00

The law states that burning leaves and wastes is harmful to one's health. Leaf and waste burning releases several poisons in the environment that leads to air pollution, health problems and fire hazards. Leaf smoke may also contain hazardous chemicals such as carbon monoxide, which can bind with hemoglobin in the bloodstream and reduce the amount of oxygen in the blood and lungs.

Any citizen may file an appropriate civil, criminal or administrative action in the proper courts or bodies against any person who violates or fails to comply with the provisions of the Republic Act 9003 or the Ecological Solid Management Act (Section 48, Para 3).
