The King Ogunremi Foundation is proud to officially launch ITIRE CONNECT, a community platform created to unite residents across every street, close, avenue, and road within Ward J, Itire, Surulere, Lagos State.

ITIRE CONNECT is founded on the belief that a stronger community is built when neighbours become family. The King Ogunremi Foundation (KOF) is pleased to announce the official endorsement of Drug Abuse Awareness Campaign DAAC ITIRE 2026 by His Eminence Cardinal James Omolaja Odunmbaku, Cardinal Odunmbaku a respected clergy leader and prominent member of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC).

The endorsement was confirmed on Friday, 15th June 2026, following a strategic engagement with the founder of the foundation, King Ogunremi, on the urgent need to address the growing challenge of illicit drug abuse among Nigerian youths.

During the discussion, Cardinal Odunmbaku Cardinal Odunmbaku expressed deep concern about the increasing impact of substance abuse on the mental health, wellbeing, and future of the younger generation. He commended the vision behind the Drug Abuse Awareness Campaign (DAAC) and described the initiative as a timely intervention that requires the collective support of religious leaders, government agencies, parents, and community stakeholders.

The King Ogunremi Foundation (KOF) is proud to announce a major partnership milestone following the official endorsement of Drug Abuse Awareness Campaign DAAC ITIRE 2026 by the Lagos State chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Alhaji Mustapha Adekunle Adio popularly known as “Sego.” Alhaji Adekunle Adio Olanrewaju

The endorsement was made during a strategic meeting held in Paris, France, between the NURTW chairman and the founder of KOF, King Ogunremi, where both parties discussed the growing menace of illicit drug use among transport workers and Nigerian youths.

During the meeting, a partnership was agreed in principle between the King Ogunremi Foundation and the NURTW to support awareness, sensitisation, and community-based intervention programmes aimed at reducing substance abuse within the transport sector and local communities.

KING OGUNREMI FOUNDATION ACHIEVES OFFICIAL SCUML REGISTRATION WITH EFCC

The King Ogunremi Foundation (KOF) is proud to announce its official registration with the Special Control Unit Against Money Laundering (SCUML) under the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Thursday, 7th May 2026.

This important milestone reflects the Foundation’s commitment to transparency, accountability, integrity, and compliance with the laws and regulations guiding non-governmental and charitable organisations in Nigeria.

The SCUML registration certifies that the King Ogunremi Foundation has been duly registered in accordance with Section 17(2)(a) of the Money Laundering (Prevention and Prohibition) Act, 2022, strengthening the Foundation’s credibility in community development, youth empowerment, drug abuse awareness campaigns, health intervention projects, and social impact initiatives across Nigeria.

The King Ogunremi Foundation (KOF) proudly announces the official appointment of Mr Oluwabunmi Afis Mogaji, popularly known as General Spanky, as the Chief of Staff of the foundation during the historic King's Barber Connect Nigeria KBCN seminar 2025 held at the Elomaz Conference Centre, Maryland, Lagos, Nigeria.

The presentation of the Certificate of Appointment was conducted by Dr Ayodele Sh*ttu, senior lecturer, Department of Economics, University of Lagos, in recognition of Mr Mogaji’s dedication, leadership, and continuous contribution to youth empowerment and community development initiatives championed by the foundation.

Speaking during the presentation, the founder of KOF, King Ogunremi, described the appointment as a strategic step toward strengthening the Foundation’s administrative structure and expanding its impact across grassroots communities in Nigeria and beyond.

At the landmark King's Barber Connect Nigeria KBCN seminar held in April 2025 at the Elomaz Conference Centre, Maryland, Lagos, the King Ogunremi Foundation (KOF) and King's Barber Connect Nigeria (KBCN) recorded another major milestone with the presentation of a £1,000 grant from The Barber Connect Project Ltd, United Kingdom.
