Happy New Month!
Welcome to September.

This month, Rhoda Serene Care Foundation and Arise for Girls are joining forces to champion two deeply vital causes: Su***de Prevention Awareness and Digital Safety for Girls.

We believe that mental well-being, community support, and online safety go hand in hand. Whether we are advocating for emotional care or building safer digital spaces, our goal remains clear: to ensure every individual feels valued, protected, and heard.

Remember, your story matters and you are never alone. Let’s make September a month of intentional kindness, active listening, and strong community protection.

Rhoda Serene Care Foundation & Join Idi-Mangoro Youth Movement to Sensitize Youth on the Dangers of Drug/Substance Abuse

On Saturday, 22nd August 2026, Rhoda Serene Care Foundation, through Arise for Girls, joined the Idi-Mangoro Youth Movement for an important youth sensitization programme held at Ajayi Street, Idi-Mangoro, Agege, Lagos.

With the theme “Make the Right Choice, Build Your Future,” the gathering created an opportunity for young people to have real conversations about drug and substance abuse, the pressures that can influence their choices, and the consequences those choices can have on their health, relationships, education and future.

Representing Rhoda Serene Care Foundation/Arise for Girls, .olorunfemi spoke on “The Dangers of Drug/Substance Abuse,” encouraging participants to understand that peer pressure, stress, difficult environments and personal challenges should not determine their future.

The session also emphasised healthier alternatives to substance use, the importance of speaking up, seeking help and surrounding oneself with positive influences.

The message was clear:

NO TO DRUGS. YES TO LIFE.
Strong Minds. Bright Futures. Drug-Free Generation.
Rhoda Serene Care Foundation and Arise for Girls remain committed to protecting, educating and empowering young people to make informed choices and build healthier, safer futures.

BEYOND A WALK. BEYOND AWARENESS. INTO INCLUSION.

On Monday, 24th August 2026, Rhoda Serene Care Foundation joined other organisations and advocates for a Children and Disability Rights Advocacy Walk, organised by Iyaniwura Children Care Foundation, with the support of the Child Protection Network, Ojodu Chapter.

From Shonibare Street through the Oke-Ira communities, we took the conversation on **child protection, disability rights and inclusion directly to the people. **

We were joined by the Child Protection Network, Ikeja chapter, Chairman Community Development Association, Ojodu LCDA, Lagos state and the Area G Police Commander.

The walk, facilitated as part of a Lagos State disability inclusion initiative through the Lagos State Office for Disability Affairs, LASODA, was more than just an awareness exercise.

It became an opportunity for families to connect with the disability registration process.

And something remarkable happened.

People came forward to register their children and family members.

For us, this was a powerful reminder that sometimes, awareness is the first step to accessing support, opportunities and services.

LASODA plays an important role in connecting persons with disabilities to inclusive services and support, while advocacy organisations and community stakeholders help take these conversations closer to the people.

We walked because inclusion should not exist only in policies and offices.

It must reach our communities.
It must reach our families.
And it must reach every person living with a disability.

At Rhoda Serene Care Foundation, we remain committed to promoting protection, dignity, accessibility and equal opportunities for all.

Beyond Awareness. Into Protection and Inclusion.

KEEP CHILDREN SAFE ONLINE.

OCSEA can begin with a simple “Hi,” a friendship, a secret, or a threat. Let’s equip children to recognize the warning signs and help parents respond with calmness, listening and protection—not blame or shame.

Know the risks. Speak up. Listen. Protect.

The internet should be a place to learn, connect and grow—not a place for children to be exploited. 💚

Parents, stay informed. Young people, know your boundaries and speak up when something feels wrong.

Together, let’s protect children and create safer digital spaces.

17/08/2026

Not every online interaction looks dangerous.
OCSEA can begin through seemingly harmless conversations, friendships or requests. Know the risks. Protect children.

Some warning signs are easy to miss.
Changes in behaviour, secrecy, distress or unexplained gifts may deserve attention. Listen. Ask. Support. Protect.

Every child deserves to be safe—online and offline.
At Rhoda Serene Care Foundation & Arise for Girls, we promote awareness, education, protection and empowerment.

International Youth Day 2026 Caption

Different Contexts, Common Aspirations. 🌍
Young people may come from different backgrounds and face different challenges, but their aspirations remain the same: to learn, be heard, be safe, have opportunities, and build a better future.

At Rhoda Serene Care Foundation, we are committed to protecting children, empowering young people, supporting education, promoting menstrual dignity, advancing inclusion, and creating safer communities.
Through Arise for Girls, we continue to champion the rights, dignity, safety and empowerment of girls—because every girl deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, thrive and lead.

This International Youth Day, we are reminded that investing in young people is investing in the future.
Different contexts. Common aspirations.
Together, we can create opportunities for every young person to thrive.
