Today, the Ghana Library Authority welcomed Teacher Blessing, a social media content creator and passionate advocate for literacy, for an engaging discussion on the importance of promoting a strong reading culture in Ghana.

The conversation explored innovative ways to inspire more people to read, strengthen literacy efforts, and create opportunities for collaboration between the Ghana Library Authority and literacy advocates.

A delegation from the Ghana Library Authority, led by Executive Director Mr. Ziblim Alhassan Betintiche, paid a courtesy call on the Unesco Ghana.

The delegation was welcomed by Mr. Edmond Moukala, the UNESCO Representative to Ghana. Discussions focused on exploring opportunities for collaboration, particularly in promoting Ghana’s intangible cultural heritage (ICH), knowledge preservation, literacy, digital initiatives and other areas of mutual interest.

The engagement reaffirmed the shared commitment to leveraging libraries and knowledge institutions to advance education, culture and sustainable development in Ghana.

The Ghana Library Authority is proud to be part of the Ghana International Book Fair 2026, happening from 27th–30th August 2026 at the National Theatre, Accra.

Under the theme “Transforming Ghana’s Future Through Books,” the fair celebrates the power of books, reading and knowledge in shaping a brighter future.

Come visit us, explore our services and programmes, and join us as we celebrate Ghana’s literary and knowledge ecosystem.

Strengthening Access to Knowledge

Today, the Ghana Library Authority received a donation of books from Transforming Teaching, Education & Learning (T-Tel), featuring resources in local Ghanaian languages, music and business studies.

The donation will support our efforts to expand access to diverse learning resources and promote reading and lifelong learning across our communities.

We appreciate T-Tel for this meaningful contribution to education and literacy.

🇬🇭🤝🇰🇷 Strengthening Ghana–Korea Collaboration

The Ghana Library Authority delegation, led by Executive Director Mr. Ziblim Alhassan Betintiche, paid a courtesy visit to the Embassy of Ghana in South Korea.

The delegation met with H.E. Ambassador Kojo Choi and his team to explore potential areas of collaboration and partnerships that could support the advancement of library and information services in Ghana.

The engagement marks another step towards building strategic partnerships and creating opportunities for knowledge exchange between Ghana and South Korea.

You can apply from anywhere, no cash payments and no walk-in applications required.

🔹 Receive your approval email
🔹 Make payment
🔹 Receive your ISBN within 5 working days

Held under the theme “Libraries Powering Transformation,” the closing ceremony provided an opportunity to reflect on the insightful discussions, shared experiences, innovations, and emerging trends explored throughout the Congress.
