Beyond the Uniform 🚗

Today, we're launching a campaign to tackle abuse towards our parking officers and shine a light on the people behind the role.

Our parking officers are parents, grandparents, friends and neighbours. Every day, they help keep Nottingham moving by making our roads safer, keeping routes accessible and helping ensure emergency services can get through when it matters most.

No one should face abuse for doing their job. We’re asking everyone to show our parking teams the respect, understanding and kindness they deserve.

Due to the weather, the path connecting Waterside Bridge with Poulton Drive and on to Daleside Road will now reopen by the end of Monday 26 October. Apologies for the delay.

Reminder that the path connecting Waterside Bridge with Poulton Drive and on to Daleside Road will need to close between Monday 19 October to Friday 23 October for re-jigging and tarmacking.

Please use the alternate route via Portside Street onto Trent Lane and Daleside Road – we apologise for the inconvenience.

💨 The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for wind today and this weekend, as Storm Austen and Storm Boelo are expected to bring gusts up to 50mph and some heavy rain.

If you must travel, be safe. Drive slowly, be aware of high-sided vehicles and give yourself and others more room than usual.

Plan your journey. Bad weather can cause delays and dangerous driving conditions. Plan your route, listen to travel updates and pack essentials, including a fully charged phone, warm clothing/footwear and water.
