It was a happy Monday afternoon this week when the library received a cheque for £812.57 from the Loughborough Building Society.

Pictured are (left to right) chairman Keith Butler, Lucie Kilbane from Loughborough Building Society, volunteer Barry Bogin.

The Loughborough Building Society have two types of Barrow upon Soar Library Community Savings Accounts, offering good rates of interest. The library receives and annual bonus based on the total amount saved. Many volunteers at the library, and users of the library, have opened one of these savings accounts. This is the ninth year running that the library has received a bonus payment.

The payment is a valuable contribution to the costs of running the library.

Thanks go to all supporters of the library who have opened a savings account.

For more information, see the Savings Account page on our website.
