When Annandale Distillery opened, Annan was an established embarkation port for emigrant Scots. As a tribute to these intrepid souls, the ‘A’ of Annandale is in the image of a billowing sail. Located close to the Scotland-England border, Annandale is also the first (and last) distillery in Scotland. y forever. Rescued by David Thomson & Teresa Church in 2007, this once derelict distillery sprang back into life on November 3rd, 2014

Three years later, on Wednesday November 15th, 2017, they filled the first ‘new era’ bottle of Annandale Single Malt Scotch Whisky. With multiple award-winning single cask – single malt whiskies the peated Man O’ Sword and unpeated Man O’ Words. Named in celebration of local icons, King Robert the Bruce (Scotland’s Warrior King and 7th Earl of Annandale) and Robert Burns (Scotland’s National Poet and Exciseman in Annandale), respectively. Come and visit, take a tour, sip our stunning peated and unpeated whiskies and taste our delicious food. We promise you a warm Scottish welcome. What a weekend!

The Spirit of Bourbon brought together good whisky, great company, and a closer look at the casks that play such an important part in our whisky.

We had tastings, an extended 1836 Tour and a live cooperage demonstration, where guests got to see first-hand the craft that goes into making and preparing our casks.

There was also time for good food, live music from Grant Dinwoodie and David Bass, and plenty of whisky enjoyed along the way.

A brilliant afternoon celebrating the craft, character and influence of the cask.

The Bourbon Showcase is nearly here.

This Saturday, we're opening the Victorian Bonded Warehouse for an afternoon built around bourbon-seasoned casks. This rare opportunity will include live coopering, four exclusive tastings and a one-off single cask, single malt release limited to just 40 bottles available to purchase on the day.

It's also one of the last opportunities to secure a cask from our original French Oak ex-Green River Bourbon parcel, of which only four remain.
