We were pleased to welcome two members of the former Canadian Society of Sugar Artistry who made the trip from Mississauga to personally deliver a donation of more than $8,000 to support our work here in Hamilton.

As the organization concluded its operations, its members made the thoughtful decision to direct their remaining funds to another nonprofit. With many of their members calling Hamilton home, they chose Neighbour to Neighbour.

Their generosity is the icing on the cake of what makes Neighbour to Neighbour so special: people coming together to ensure neighbours are supported when they need it most.

A heartfelt thank you to the Canadian Society of Sugar Artistry and its members for helping make our community a little sweeter. 🧡🍬

Halloween for Hunger: Our Neighbours Need Us! 🎃

Halloween for Hunger has been a wonderful way for students and our community to come together to help fight hunger. While St. Thomas More is no longer running the program, the need for food donations in our community is greater than ever, and Neighbour to Neighbour still needs your help!

Every month, we support more than 1,800 households in our community. Behind every number is a neighbour or family who is counting on us for food. With the cost of groceries continuing to put pressure on household budgets, your donation can make a real difference. 🧡

We had an amazing time celebrating Neighbour to Neighbour’s 40th anniversary at our Fall Fair!

Thank you to FirstOntario Credit Union for hosting a community BBQ, Starbucks Canada for providing warm drinks, our community partners, staff and volunteers. This event wouldn’t have been possible without your support!

Happy !

Food brings us together. It nourishes us, connects us, and reminds us that we all deserve a place at the table.

But for too many of our neighbours, putting nutritious food on the table is a daily challenge.

At Neighbour to Neighbour Centre, we believe everyone deserves access to good food, served with dignity and care. Every day, we work to make that happen through our food bank, community meals, Produce Market & Café, community gardens, and food programming that brings people together to learn, grow, cook, and share.

Because food is about more than filling a plate. It’s about building skills, growing fresh food, sharing knowledge, and creating connections that strengthen our community.

This World Food Day, let’s remember that everyone deserves access to nutritious food and the opportunity to be part of a community that cares. 🧡
