Swan Hill Rural City Council is looking for an Economic Development & Business Support Officer to help deliver initiatives that strengthen our economy, support local businesses and create opportunities across our region. 💼📈

In this role, you’ll work with businesses, community groups and stakeholders 🤝 to deliver projects, provide support and advice, promote investment opportunities and help position Swan Hill as a great place to live, work and invest 🌿✨

🌿 Expression of Interest: RAP Artwork Opportunity

Swan Hill Rural City Council is inviting First Nations artists, 25 years and younger, to submit an Expression of Interest to create artwork for our upcoming Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).

This is a meaningful opportunity to contribute a visual story that reflects our community’s shared commitment to reconciliation, culture, and connection to Country.

🖤💛❤️ We welcome submissions from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists with a strong connection to the Swan Hill region.

What’s involved?
- Creation of a signature artwork to feature in Council’s RAP.
- A chance to share your cultural story and artistic vision.
- Paid commission for the selected artist.

✨ Business Façade Improvement Program is back! ✨

Local businesses can now get support to refresh their shopfronts and help create vibrant, welcoming town centres across the Swan Hill municipality.

Applications open Wednesday 1 July at 9am, with eligible businesses able to apply for up to $5,000 in funding for visible facade improvements.

From repainting and signage to lighting, facade repairs, awnings and more — the program helps businesses bring their ideas to life while supporting local trades and suppliers.

The previous round delivered some fantastic transformations, and we can’t wait to see what local businesses create next! 👏
