Fire trucks and free snags on a Sunday, is there anything better?

We don't think so.

See you there!

What happens when a fallen tree blocks Pakenham Road while people are trying to leave Cockatoo as a fire approaches from the north?

This screenshot from our local bushfire scenario shows how a familiar road can become unavailable, with traffic building behind the blockage. It’s a hypothetical example to help residents think through their fire plans.

See the full scenario videos at Cockatoo CFA’s Open Day this Sunday, 18 Oct 26, from 1100h to 1400h at 28 Church Crescent, Cockatoo. Meet the crew, explore a tanker and chat about preparing for fire season, with kids’ hose activities, hose bowling, crew demonstrations and a free sausage BBQ throughout the day.

We look forward to seeing you on Sunday!!

Today we pause to reflect and pay out respects to the fallen Police officers throughout our country who have paid the ultimate price in the line of duty.

We work and stand side by side with Police during emergencies.
