Class of 2026 Commencement Ceremony

05/20/2026

UPDATED LIVESTREAM INFO BELOW

We are excited to celebrate the graduation of the Class of 2026 tomorrow, May 21!

The Commencement Ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. in America's Heartland Stadium at Wright City High School (159 Roelker Road, Wright City, MO 63390). Gates will open for seating at 5:30 p.m. Please note that reserving seats prior to that time will not be permitted.

For those who are unable to attend in person, the ceremony will be livestreamed on the Wright City R-II Schools page!

🟡Reminders

- Seating will be available on the football field and in the home bleachers.
- No tickets are required.
- Lawn chairs and pets are not permitted, with the exception of service animals.

🟡Class of 2026

Graduating seniors should report to the Wright City High School Field House by 6:00 p.m. Seniors should park in the baseball field parking lot.

🟡Spectators

All parking will be directed by staff to help ensure a safe and efficient flow of traffic. We appreciate your patience and cooperation.

Additional parking will be available at the Support Services Center (formerly the old high school), located at 520 Westwoods Road in Wright City. Shuttle buses will begin running to and from this location at 4:30 p.m.

Handicap accessible parking will be available near the main stadium entrance.

Please note that parking at Wright City High School will be restricted to paved surfaces only. Because recent weather has left the grounds too wet for grass parking, we encourage all guests to plan accordingly and consider using the off-site parking and shuttle service.

An updated parking map was sent to senior families.

*Pumpkins Galore will NOT be used as an alternate parking site.*

We look forward to celebrating this special milestone with our graduates and their families.

We are pleased to share that Mrs. Amanda Bair will be joining Wright City Middle School as Assistant Principal, beginning with the 2026-2027 school year.

Mrs. Bair has been a valued member of the Wright City R-II School District since the 2021-2022 school year. During her time with the district, she has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a strong commitment to student success. She has grown the high school's FBLA program, served as a PLC leader, participated in our Aspiring Administrator Cohort, served as Summer School Principal in 2025, and will return in that role for Summer School 2026.

Mrs. Bair shared, “I am incredibly honored and excited for the opportunity to serve as Assistant Principal at Wright City Middle School. Wright City is a special community with outstanding students, staff, and families, and I look forward to continuing to build strong relationships while supporting academic growth, positive school culture, and student success. I truly believe middle school is one of the most important stages in a student’s development, and I am excited to help create an environment where every student feels supported, connected, and prepared for future success.”

We look forward to the impact her leadership, relationship-building, and dedication to student success will have in supporting and strengthening teaching and learning at Wright City Middle School.

The Wright City R-II School District has been selected by Character.org and CharacterPlus to receive not one, but two District-Level Promising Practice Awards for the District’s Superintendent Advisory Groups and practices.

According to Character.org, “Promising Practice Awards are unique, effective, and replicable initiatives that inspire ‘goodness in action’ and contribute to the field of character development.”

This year, only three school districts in the entire state of Missouri received this distinguished District-level recognition. Notably, Wright City School District was the only district in Missouri to receive two Promising Practice Awards.

This recognition highlights the exceptional work, dedication, and commitment of our staff, leadership team, and our community to continuous improvement, student success, and building positive relationships throughout our schools and community.

Character.org Director of Promising Practices, Diana Dodson, shared:
“We are incredibly proud to recognize the schools and organizations that have developed and implemented Promising Practices. Each of these practices demonstrates meaningful impact while bringing to life the principles that inspire ‘goodness in action’ and cultivate a culture of character in schools and organizations.”

Did we do this right? 💙🐾

From cheer camp kiddo and high school cheerleader… to Teacher of the Year and Superintendent.

We’d say they took “Once a Wildcat, Always a Wildcat” pretty seriously.

Proud is an understatement🤩

Moms, dads, grandparents, and guardians - hug your kiddos a little tighter today and celebrate how proud we are of their growth.

One day they’re graduating kindergarten, and before you know it, they’re graduating high school. Time truly flies.

Cheers to the last week of the 2025-2026 school year!🎓
