We are incredibly grateful to announce that the Wright City Fire Protection District has been awarded a $5,380 grant through the Cuivre River Electric Community Trust Operation Round Up program.

These funds will be used to purchase two sets of turnout gear for our firefighters, critical protective equipment that helps keep our crews safe while serving our community.

A huge THANK YOU to the Cuivre River Electric Cooperative, Inc. and every cooperative member who rounds up their bill each month to support programs like this. Your generosity makes a real impact right here in our community. ❀️

We are proud to serve Wright City and thankful for organizations that continue to support local emergency services.

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ”₯ Happy Memorial Day Weekend from the Wright City Fire Protection District! πŸ”₯πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

We hope your weekend is filled with family, friends, sunshine, good food, and maybe a few too many hot dogs and hamburgers πŸŒπŸ”πŸ˜„

We’d absolutely LOVE to be invited to your cookouts BUT please don’t make us NEED to come to your cookouts. πŸš’πŸ˜‰

So as you celebrate this weekend:
πŸ”₯ Keep grills away from homes and decks
🍻 Don’t drink and drive
🏊 Keep an eye on kids around water
πŸš— Buckle up and slow down

Most importantly, take a moment to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave everything for our freedom. β€οΈπŸ€πŸ’™

Be safe. Be responsible. Have fun.
And save us a burger, NOT an emergency. πŸ” πŸš’

πŸš’πŸ’¦ We had an absolute blast at Field Day at Wright City East Elementary today! πŸ’¦πŸš’

Thank you to the students, teachers, and staff for inviting us out to be part of such a fun day. There may have been a few squeals, a lot of laughter, and plenty of kids trying to get as soaked as possible from the ladder truck spray! πŸ˜„β˜€οΈ

Today was also a great reminder of how valuable our FEMA Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) ladder truck is, not only for emergency response, but also for building connections with the community we proudly serve every day.

We loved spending the day with everyone and helping make some fun memories before summer break! ❀️

Memorial Day is a time to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. As we pause this weekend, we reflect on the sacrifices made to protect the freedoms we enjoy every day.

While our administrative offices will be closed, emergency personnel will continue serving our community 24/7 as always.

We apologize for any inconvenience and wish everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day weekend.

πŸ”₯ WHY WEDNESDAY πŸ”₯

Why do firefighters ask you to close your bedroom door at night? πŸšͺ

A closed door can slow the spread of heat, smoke, and toxic gases during a fire, and it could give your family valuable extra time to escape safely.

It may seem simple, but one closed door can make a HUGE difference.

Tonight before bed:
βœ… Close bedroom doors
βœ… Check smoke alarms
βœ… Make sure everyone knows two ways out

Little habits save lives. ❀️

πŸš‘ EMS Week πŸš‘

During EMS Week, the Wright City Fire Protection District would like to recognize and thank the dedicated men and women of the Warren County Ambulance District for the exceptional care and service they provide to our community every single day.

Whether responding alongside us during emergencies, providing lifesaving medical care, or offering compassion during difficult moments, your commitment does not go unnoticed. We are grateful for the strong partnership we share and for the professionalism and dedication your crews bring to every call.

Every year, the Wright City Fire Protection District has the privilege of hosting the Health Occupations clinicals, and every year we are reminded what an incredible group of young individuals come through our doors.

We are so fortunate to have the opportunity to get to know these students, teach them about our district, and share a small part of the emergency services world with them. Their professionalism, curiosity, compassion, and eagerness to learn never go unnoticed.

Thank you for your hard work and dedication to serving others. We are proud to play a role in your journey and look forward to watching all of the amazing things you accomplish in the future!
