Join us at Diekroeger Park on Saturday, June 13th at 11 a.m. for the Wright City Parks & Rec annual Flag Retirement Ceremony — a solemn and patriotic tradition honoring the American flags that have faithfully served their purpose.

Retiring a flag is the proper, dignified way to dispose of one that is worn, tattered, faded, or no longer fit for display.

In preparation of the event, we are collecting your worn or tattered flags at City Hall!

Thanks to Eagle Scout Caleb Reynolds, who presented and donated a Flag Donation Box to the City, residents now have a convenient year-round drop-off option.

Drop off:
Monday–Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
After hours? Leave flags on the bench near the front entrance — staff will collect them Monday morning.

All donated flags will be turned over to the Wright City Parks and Recreation Department and included in this year's June 13th retirement ceremony.

Flags can be dropped off year round to be retired.
