Last week, the Wooster Div. of Fire hosted an Ohio Paramedic refresher class for our members and other area paramedics, with over 60 paramedics attending. A big thank you to our partners MedFlight, Metro Health Life Flight, and Cleveland Clinic Critical Care Transport for their training and helping us refresh our skills.

Last week, all three shifts took advantage of the warmer weather and less stable ice conditions to work on our annual ice rescue training. Crews did a great job of working on their skills to be prepared for any incident. Great work!

Last Friday, Biggby Coffee stopped by fire station 1 and dropped off some coffees and treats for our crews. Thank you to Biggby Coffee for thinking of us!

We want to say a huge thank you to all area plow drivers. Specifically, though, we want to thank our City of Wooster PPM snow plow drivers for all their hard work and dedication to keep our streets open for all emergency crews throughout Winter Storm Fern. Many of them worked 16+ hours shifts, only to return after just a few short hours of rest and do it all over again. Your hard work and dedication to keep the roads open for us does not go unnoticed. Thank you!
