Join us every third Thursday of the month for our adult no set book book club. This is a laid back way to discuss books that you recently read or one that you read before and highly recommend. Audiobooks and eBooks would count for this book club. It's a great way to find out about books that you may have never heard of or normally wouldn't have picked up. Space is limited. Call the Reference desk at (401)767-4124 to reserve your spot. Also, feel free to bring along a drink

Join us on Wednesday, November 25th from 2:30 until 3:45 PM for another adult craft. This month it is pinecone turkeys. It is a drop in, no sign up necessary activity. These cute little turkeys would be a great way to add some festive and unique spin on a Thanksgiving decoration. This craft is good for beginners and advanced crafts people alike. We can't wait to see what you make and look forward to seeing you. Feel free to bring along a drink.

Join us on Saturday November 14th from 2:30 until 4 PM for an Adult Coloring session. Feel free to pop on in. No sign-ups required. There will be plenty of coloring pages and coloring supplies for you to choose from. If you have your own coloring book or supplies you would like to use, feel free to bring those along with you. It's a great way to decompress from the week. Come on by to relax and socialize. Feel free to bring along a drink.

Good afternoon patrons! In about 3 weeks our Reference and Adult Services Librarian will be presenting an American History Lecture on Slavery in the Antebellum Lower Mississippi Valley. Did you know that the Lower Mississippi Valley covers over 24 million acres of land? Also, 63% of Louisiana's African Slave Trade came from home ports in France, with 36.4% coming from Lorient, France alone.
