North Manchester Tox Away Day is almost upon us.
We can't wait to see you all June 13th from 8am-1pm at the North Manchester Street Department! 💚

**Wabash County residential use only. Non-residential intake will not be accepted at this event.

Remember this event is for hazardous materials:
Electronics • Chemicals • Sharps • Rechargeable Batteries • Tires • Bulbs (except for incandescent)

Have your ID ready for sign-in! 😁

Here is a look at June for WCSWMD!

- Our monthly board meeting is next Monday at 1:30pm.

- The following Monday, June 15th, WCSWMD will be closed for necessary plumbing work. This includes the drop site due to the area of work.

- WCSWMD will be closed Friday, June 19th in observance of Juneteenth.

We will update you all through this page should there be any changes in schedule.
**We will keep an eye on the Wabash Residential Drop Site in particular next Friday, June 12th. Should the bins be full Friday at close, the drop site will remain closed Saturday the 13th since the bins only get emptied Monday-Friday in the morning.

North Manchester Tox-Away Day
Hosted by the Wabash County Solid Waste Management District

Load up your vehicle with household hazardous waste and head to the annual
Tox-Away Day collection event at:

407 Wabash Road
Saturday, June 13
8am-1pm

This convenient drive-through event is designed to be fast and easy. You won’t even need to get out of your car! Staff and vendors will be on-site to help unload and properly handle accepted items.

Bring your:
Tires
Electronics
Chemicals
Batteries
Light bulbs
Sharps

Best of all, it’s free, with no limits on TVs or tires.

This event is open to Wabash County residents only. No businesses allowed. Please bring your ID.

Load it up, roll on through, and help keep North Manchester clean and safe. We’ll see you on June 13!

**Theses events are residential services.
Non-residential entities will NOT be accepted.
Wabash County residents only.**

What can you bring?
Electronics, Appliances, Chemicals, Tires, Sharps Containers, Rechargeable Batteries, Bulbs (except for Incandescent bulbs)

Please take into consideration the Tox Away Day operations when planning your trip past this facility. If you turn into the stream of traffic for the Tox Away event, you will have to follow the one-way lane through the event in a safe manner.

*Remember WCSWMD does not accept plastic bags or films in our recycling programs.

Couldn't participate? Consider volunteering your time and skills to the Wi******er Senior Center. If you or someone you know can crochet, please reach out to Diane Miller to get the details!

Friendly reminder that WCSWMD will be closed Monday, May 25th in observation of Memorial Day. Normal operations to resume the following day.

The Residential Recycling Drop Site will still be open 8am-Noon tomorrow for your regular household recycling needs. We hope everyone gets to enjoy their Memorial Day weekend!

Plastic Bag Collection event!
From today until June 2nd, bring us all of your plastic grocery bags! Remember, this collection is ONLY for in-office. Plastic bags CANNOT be recycled in our blue bins.

We are collecting for our friends at Wi******er Senior Center who would like to make sleeping mats for those in need. They also really need some crochet enthusiast to help them make their goal a reality.

We are increasingly concerned that WCSMWD has unofficially been designated as the local "spectacle cemetery" 👓...

Here are some glasses that have been found on the property. If they look like ones you lost this week, they will be at reception during business hours.

- Found Monday after our 1:30 Board Meeting

#2 (Metal Frame with irregular nose pieces)
- Found today around 1:30-2:00
