Thank you to the Wabash Kiwanis Club for letting us present to you about recycling in Wabash County!
We offer free educational programs to all age groups, covering a vast scale of all things recycling! Book your education presentation today!
💚♻️

Thank you to Leann Kooi, executive director of the Wabash County Solid Waste Management District, for being our program at lunch today.

Leann spoke of the district, which is a local government entity, but isn’t operated by local tax dollars, rather largely by the local landfill, as well as a user assessment fee, and materials revenue.

Leann spoke of their recycling program, their community investments (including a scholarship), and their education programs for youth.

Good Morning, Wabash County! 🍂

We just wanted to announce that the office & hazardous warehouse will be closing Friday (10/30/26) at Noon. This will allow all 4 employees to help winterize the property while we still have some decent weather!
The drop site will remain open until 4pm.
Regular operations resume Monday (11/2/26).

We will be posting the November calendar tomorrow so all may be able to plan out visits as we enter holiday season. Keep an eye out!

Good morning Wabash!
This is a friendly reminder that drop-site recycling materials should never be bagged! Bagged recycling instantly gets thrown away. We don't want your hard work to go to waste! Always throw your LOOSE recyclables into the blue bins!
Also, a reminder that we do not accept ANY trash items at the District. This includes mattresses, furniture, and clothing.
Thank you all and lets have a wonderful week!

10/21/2026

Just a little reminder. ♻
We hope the Town of North Manchester has a great Fall Clean Up!
Remember if it is household hazardous items like electronics, chemicals, tire, etc... WCSWMD is the place.

10/20/2026

We still have a week and a half in October!
Make sure to bring us your old electronics in the spirit of EEE-Waste month! We take electronics and other household hazardous material year-round so don't be Mr. Vlad. 🦇🎃

10/07/2026

Friendly reminder that WCSWMD will be closed next Monday, October 12th for Indigenous People's Day.

We will be back Tuesday, October 13th!
