Crews are now flushing the water main line to minimize trapped air or water discoloration from stirred sediment. Some discolored water may temporarily remain. You can use the water as normal for drinking and bathing; however, you should avoid washing laundry if the water is discolored to prevent staining clothes. You can clear any remaining discolored water by flushing your pipes. To do so, run cold water from your taps for approximately five minutes, or until the water runs clear. Otherwise, any discoloration can be expected to dissipate within 12 to 24 hours.

Crews have been working since 7:30 p.m. yesterday, Oct. 24, on an emergency water main repair near North Landing Road and Princess Anne Road.
Nearby residents may experience low water pressure while repairs are underway.
This is a priority repair, and crews are working as quickly as possible to restore service. Repairs are expected to be complete by 10 a.m. today, Oct. 25.
