Excited to share Sunday Plans by Makor NJ, a Sunday morning social program for young adults in Bergen County looking to connect, build friendships, and enjoy more opportunities in the community.

Sunday Plans is designed to be flexible and low-pressure - participants can join the activities that interest them and only pay for what they choose to join. Participation can also be covered through DDD Community Inclusion.

We’re currently welcoming new participants and would appreciate you sharing this with any individuals, families, or support coordinators who may be interested.

Makor NJ enjoyed a day of beautiful weather out at South Mountain Reservation. The guys enjoyed paddle boating, taking turns pedaling, steering and soaking in the moment. Good music was played and everyone commented about how glad they were to be out enjoying the sun. The staff were glad they brought extra sunscreen! 🌞

Have you or your child experienced going through DVRS or DDD to help with employment goals and been told it may be difficult to keep a job without assistance? Don't fret! With a DDD budget, you can use an agency-employed professional or a self-directed employee to help with focus and task management while on the job.

If you are unsure of how to proceed with explaining your/their accommodation needs to an employer, don't hesitate to reach out to us. We will talk to you over the phone and do our best to guide you through the process. If you want to utilize our agency professionals to assist on site, it will be their job to help you with the process and support you based on the level of need once arrangements have been made.

Quality of life comes first. We work, we grow, but we also take time to enjoy the simple, beautiful things. Fortunately, it isn't hard to have moments like this in New Jersey, which we are learning fast, as a new provider in the neighborhood. It's nice to be able to use services like Community Inclusion and Community Based Supports to help us and families access these moments!
