Congratulations to our newly promoted team members!

Today, we had the honor of recognizing our new Deputy Chiefs of Police, Captains, Lieutenants, Sergeants, Corporals, and Detectives during our promotion ceremony. Each of them has shown incredible dedication and leadership, and we’re excited to see them continue to serve and protect our community in their new roles as we work together to make Tampa safer, together.

A heartfelt thank you to the loved ones who joined us, both in person and virtually. Your unwavering support is truly the foundation of their success and inspires them to give their best every day. We couldn’t do it without you!

A weekend of casting lines, building connections, and creating lasting memories!

On Saturday, young anglers spent time on the water, learning valuable fishing skills alongside our police officers and local fishing captains. Through hands-on instruction, mentorship, and plenty of fun, they gained knowledge and confidence in a new found hobby.

To keep the adventure going, each child received a rod and reel combo to take home and continue honing their new skills.

Congratulations to Officer Martin Ramirez, our Officer of the Month for June 2026!

Officer Ramirez serves as a Field Training Officer in District 2, where he continues to mentor and develop new officers while remaining highly proactive in the field. His leadership, attention to detail, and commitment to public safety have made him a trusted resource for both recruits and fellow officers.

In April 2026 alone, Officer Ramirez safely apprehended two armed suspects during separate high-risk incidents through his quick response and decisive actions. He is also a valuable asset to multiple investigative units through his assistance with Spanish-speaking interviews and investigations.

Thank you, Officer Ramirez, for your dedication and outstanding service to our community.

Some of our more unusual calls come with scales and a tail. Officers located this gator and helped keep the area safe while it was relocated to a more appropriate habitat.

Fortunately, this scaly visitor seemed more interested in finding a new place to roam than sticking around.
