A strong workforce depends on more than job opportunities. It requires the essential supports that enable employees to live, work and thrive in our community.
Last week, a packed room of Tampa Bay business and community leaders joined us for State of the Workforce, an important conversation about how workforce housing and access to affordable, reliable childcare are shaping our region’s ability to attract, retain and grow talent. 🏫
Thank you to our panelists Patricia “Patti” Rendon, Hillsborough County Public Schools Board Member, District 4; Abbye Feeley, Administrator for Development and Economic Opportunity at the City of Tampa; and Michelle Bauer, Chief Operating Officer at the Tampa Bay EDC, for bringing valuable perspectives to the discussion.
Together, they explored the connections between education, housing, workforce participation and community development, as well as the role collaboration can play in supporting working families and strengthening Tampa Bay’s talent pipeline. 📈
Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to such an engaged conversation, and a special thank you to MUFG, our Presenting Sponsor, for making this important program possible!
