The other day, an SHPD officer conducted a traffic stop that led to an investigation and the discovery of multiple empty alcoholic beverage containers inside the vehicle. The driver was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) after providing a breath sample that revealed a blood alcohol concentration more than twice the legal limit.
A reminder to everyone: if you choose to drink, please make arrangements for a safe ride home. Driving impaired puts lives at risk and will not be tolerated in our community.

The other day, an SHPD officer conducted a traffic stop that resulted in the arrest of three individuals for possession of controlled substances after officers discovered a buffet of narcotics inside the vehicle. All three subjects were taken into custody without incident.

The other day, SHPD K-9 Officer and his K-9 partner, Maui, were on patrol on Research Forest Drive when they observed a vehicle commit multiple traffic violations. A traffic stop was initiated.
During the investigation, the officer noticed the rear passenger attempting to hide his face. The passenger provided a false name and date of birth. Further checks revealed an active felony narcotics warrant out of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
The passenger was taken into custody on the outstanding felony warrant and charged with Failure to Identify as a Fugitive from Justice.
