The first step is critical do your homework before trusting a moving company with your belongings.

“Rogue operators” often lure you in with a low quote, then raise the price after your items are loaded or worse, hold your shipment hostage until you pay more.

💡 Stay protected:
✔️ Research every company thoroughly
✔️ Verify registration with FMCSA
✔️ Use official resources to check legitimacy
✔️ Don’t fall for deals that seem too good to be true

Your inventory sheet is one of the most important documents you'll receive during your PCS move.

As your household goods are packed, every box and item is assigned an inventory number. Before you sign, take a few extra minutes to:

✔️ Review item descriptions
✔️ Verify existing damage is documented correctly
✔️ Check for missing items
✔️ Ask questions if something doesn't look right

Accurate inventory records can make a big difference if you need to file a claim later.

Once your move is complete, keep your inventory paperwork until all deliveries are finished and any claims have been resolved.
