In alignment with Department of Defense (DoD) Instruction 5400.17 and recent Executive Orders issued by the President, the National Guard is reviewing and adjusting its social media content to ensure compliance with DoD policies and priorities. Saying a goodbye to Major (Father) Ryan McDaniel this weekend as he departs on a new journey. He’s been our Catholic priest providing service to the AFMS - Scott - 126th Medical Group Air National Guard (ANG) 126th Air Refueling Wing for 6+ years.

I appreciated his homilies with his unique education background and his path to Catholicism. He’s also one of the few priests you’ll find who’s married and raising his own family with 4 young kids (yes, that’s a thing) and it drives another level of depth to his services.

A few highlights from the very busy weekend:

Wing Change of Command- Welcome back to the 126th Colonel Nicolas Henschel.

Wing Photo- 😅 SMSgt Nichole Peterson does a great job of getting 800+ members in formation! We squeezed in a quick MDG photo afterwards.

Very successful Flu shot line by the 126 MDG team. The team gave 277 Flu shots! Thank you Commanders and leaders for ensuring your members had time to make it over.

SAPR Training- thank you to the Wing SAPR, Ms. Malissa Jackson, for briefing our team to understand the available resources and options of the SAPR program.
