Spider-Man! Cowboy?
Spider-Man cowboy!
He came out here yesterday and took a tour of our haunted house! Thankfully he didn’t web up any of our monsters.
Thanks for stopping by!!!

If you missed it yesterday, you still have a chance to see it today!
We have tickets for sale in barracks 1.

This Friday and Saturday!!!

You walked through the fort after dark and saw the paranormal side of things. You helped our detective solve a mystery of "Who killed C.A. Daver" and now you will get one more chance to see the fort in a different light. Fort Concho’s House of Horrors is back! We’re wrapping up our three October events with a big scare!
Join us October 30–31 as our historic Quartermaster Building transforms overnight into a haunted house.
Tickets are now on sale at our Barracks 1 Visitor Center/Sutler Store for $12 general admission and $10 for children ages 7–17. (call for more information: 325-657-4444)

Purchase yours ahead of time to skip the ticket line and head straight to the Quartermaster Building or buy them the night of either event. We accept cash and credit cards, including Mastercard, Visa, and Discover only.
**Please be aware that the haunted house includes jump scares, loud noises, and strobe lights, which may not be suitable for guests sensitive to these effects.

Robbins Reporting:

Great Blue Heron

One of the benefits of being so close to the Concho River is getting to see a variety of wildlife, including many different bird species. One prominent example is the Great Blue Heron (Ardea herodias), who dominates the land, water, and sky.
These birds are excellent hunters, dining on a variety of fish, frogs, snakes, crawdads, turtles, and other small animals.
Ardea is Latin for heron, while herodias is Greek for heron, meaning this bird’s scientific name means “heron-heron”.

It’s the bird so nice, they had to name it twice!

This Friday and Saturday!!!
Our suspects are already pointing fingers at each other. We need help on solving the murder!
**TICKETS ARE SOLD ONLY AT THE OFFICE!!!!**
No online tickets sold at all. Beware of scammers.
Dress accordingly, it seems that Texas saw the DPS and decide to hit the brakes after going 90 for the past few weeks. Looks like it is going to be nice and cool. 🤞

Not interested in the paranormal? But still want to see Fort Concho at night?? Join us October 16–17 for a whodunit-style mystery with suspects inspired by real people from Fort Concho history.

Someone has killed C. A. Daver, and it’s up to you to find the culprit! (Did you know that our fictional victim takes inspiration from George A***s, a real officer whose time at the fort included more than a little trouble.)

You can gather your friends and work together OR compete to see who cracks the case first!
Of course, few tips: wear comfortable shoes and clothing (dress according to the weather! Its San Angelo, it might be 90 degrees and snowing that night!), bring a flashlight, and prepare to explore the fort in search of answers.

Doors open at 6:30 PM, the suspects line up and our detective will give his first briefing at 7 PM.
This is a come-and-go event, but all suspects leave at 10 PM. So arriving at 9:30 means you’ll have just 30 minutes to solve the mystery, so give yourself plenty of time! No refunds will be issued for late arrivals.

Admission is $12 for general admission and $10 for children ages 7–17 and Fort Concho members with membership ID. Tickets are on sale now at our office, 630 S. Oakes Street, and will also be available at the door each evening.
Tickets will not sell out!
So don't worry about missing out on this murder.
The dead don't have any place to go.

**I am sad I have to keep doing this, but...Tickets are NOT sold online. Please purchase directly from Fort Concho and avoid anyone claiming to have “extra tickets” for sale. Don't be scammed! If it is not from our Fort Concho page, it is not real!
Tsk tsk tsk....shame on you scammers!**

Can you solve the murder before the suspects call it a night?

There is a living history camp for that too! We will also have a Civil War cannon demonstration halfway through each session.
