May 5 is Red Dress Day, the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people. It’s a time to honor those lost to violence and stand with the families and communities still seeking justice.

Inspired by Métis artist Jaime Black’s REDress Project, red dresses symbolize the lives taken and the urgent need for awareness and change. Today, we remember and recommit to listening, learning, and advocating for justice. MHFC Staff wore red to work to honor this day.

Our team showed up in pajamas this week to recognize Safe Sleep Awareness Day (April 16) and help spread an important message: safe sleep saves lives. 💙

By following the ABCs of safe sleep—Alone, on their Back, in a Crib—we can all play a role in protecting infants and supporting families in our community.

We’re proud to raise awareness (and have a little fun doing it!) while staying committed to keeping babies safe, every day of the year.
