We are incredibly proud to once again recognize Richmond R-XVI's very own Teacher of the Year, Alaze Chowning, for being named a 2027 Missouri Teacher of the Year Semifinalist! 🌟

Alaze was one of only 16 educators selected across the entire state of Missouri for this prestigious honor!

This recognition is a true testament to Alaze's dedication, passion, and the lasting impact made on students each and every day.

🌟❤️🖤 SPARTAN SPOTLIGHT: DUSTIN GILES! 🖤❤️🌟

This week, we are excited to recognize Dustin Giles for his outstanding dedication to supporting our staff and keeping our technology running smoothly!

Dustin is known throughout the district for his patience, kindness, positive attitude, and willingness to go above and beyond. No matter how big or small the technology issue, he shows up with a smile and is always ready to help!

What makes Dustin truly special is that he doesn't just fix problems. He takes the time to explain solutions, answer questions, and help staff feel more confident with technology. Even when he doesn't have an immediate answer, he works hard to find one!

One nomination shared, "You can tell he loves what he does for his profession, even though we run him around our district buildings like crazy sometimes!"

Dustin's dedication and willingness to support his coworkers do not go unnoticed. We are incredibly fortunate to have him as part of our Spartan family!

👏 Thank you, Dustin, for everything you do to make a difference in our district! You are a wonderful example of what it means to be a Spartan!

❤️ Spartan Nation has so much to celebrate! ❤️

Last night at the Richmond - Missouri Area Chamber of Commerce Gala, our Richmond R-XVI Early Childhood Center (ECC) took home the Lasting Impact Award! 🎉 This recognition celebrates the incredible impact our ECC is making in our community and the lasting difference it will make for years to come.

We also want to give a HUGE congratulations to Tatha Farnan, who was nominated for both the Rising Star Award and the Bonnie George Heart of Service Award. 🌟 Tatha brought home the Bonnie George Heart of Service Award, a well-deserved honor for someone who gives so much to others!

We are so proud of our ECC and Tatha for representing Richmond R-XVI so well. Congratulations to all the nominees and award winners! ❤️🖤🤍

We are so proud to share that Richmond R-XVI School District was the ONLY school district to receive an award for Job One! 🎉

Job One provides students with disabilities the opportunity to gain meaningful, real-world work experience while developing valuable job skills, independence, confidence, and connections within our community. Our students work hard, take on new challenges, and show every day that they have so much to contribute! 💪❤️

This award is a reflection of the incredible work being done by our students, staff, families, and community partners to create opportunities for our Spartans and help prepare them for success beyond high school.

We couldn't be more proud of our students and the amazing things they are accomplishing! ❤️🖤
