57 calls for service, 26 traffic stops
General Information: At 0415 hours, officers were patrolling the area of Red’s Convenience store when they were flagged down. Officers were advised that there was no one inside of the store. Officers went inside the business and found that the employee had just taken a bathroom break. No criminal offense was found.
Crash: At 0817 hours, officers responded to Palestine Avenue at City Limits for a single vehicle crash involving a deer. A crash report was completed.
Suspicious Activity: At 0747 hours, officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Marion St in reference to Suspicious Activity. Officers were notified of a man who was driving around and messing with meters on their house. Officers were able to locate the vehicle at the back of the driver’s property, and no one was outside messing with any meters.
Unsecure Building: At 0827 hours, officers were dispatched to Access in reference to an Unsecure Building. Officers arrived on scene to find the back door of the building open. Officers cleared the building and found no signs of burglary or anyone inside.
Traffic Stop with Arrest: At 1527 hours, officers were patrolling the area of Dollar General on Elm St when they recognized an individual known to have an outstanding warrant. Officers initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver, Adam Trussell, age 40. Officers placed Trussell under arrest for his outstanding warrant Felon in Possession of a Fi***rm, out of Tyler Texas. During the search of the vehicle, an open b**r car was found inside the door compartment as well as products to falsify drug test results. Trussell was transported to Anderson County Jail and booked in on the outstanding warrant and an additional charge of False Drug Test Falsification Device.
Scam: At 1619 hours, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Kenwood Dr in reference to a Scam. Officers contacted the reporting party who stated that someone had called them from a local number, claiming to be with the social security office. The reporting party did not provide any of their details to the person, but they just wanted to make others aware.
Burglary of Habitation: At 1714 hours, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Cedarview in reference to a Burglary of Habitation. Officers were advised of a potential burglary of a habitation in progress. Officers arrived on scene and found a man matching the description given by the reporting party. The man identified as, Christopher Dawson, age 26, initially refused to give his name and date of birth. While officers were talking with him, they noticed signs that he was under the influence. Dawson was placed under arrest for Failure to Identify Giving False/Fictitious Information and Public Intoxication. Dawson was transported to Anderson County Jail and booked in without incident.
Warrant Arrest: At 2035 hours, officers were patrolling the 700 block of W Carolina St when they noticed a man who is known to the Department. Officers checked the information for the man, identified as Matthew Nunez, age 40, who was found to have an outstanding warrant for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Officers contacted Nunez, placed him under arrest, transported him to Anderson County Jail and booked him in without incident.

Traffic Stop with Arrest: At 0009 hours, officers conducted a traffic stop around S Loop 256 and Benbrook Dr and identified the driver, Ashton Del Principe, age 17. Upon the initial conversation with Del Principe, the name that was given to officers was the same name as the passenger found to be in the vehicle. Due to this the officer began talking to both individuals inside of the vehicle to get the correct information. Further investigation found the passenger had provided the correct name for themselves, while the driver attempted to give a false name. Del Principe was placed under arrest for Failure to Identify, transported to Anderson County Jail and booked in without incident.
Loud Music: At 0440 hours, officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Crockett Road in reference to Loud Music. Officers were notified that they had heard loud yelling at a residence and they went to check on the people inside, but no one answered the door. Officers arrived on scene and were approached by two individuals who came from behind the residence. The individuals advised that there had been no disturbance, but the homeowner had already left the scene. While waiting for the homeowner to return to the home, officers learned that the man identified as Ramon Leyva, age 24, had been staying at the residence. Levya advised officers that he would take them through the home to disprove any disturbance. Officers made entrance into the home following before Leyva, once inside of the residence officers noticed a machine gun pistol on the kitchen counter, along with a wooden board with a white substance divided into line. Officers also noticed the odor of Ma*****na upon entering the residence and visibly saw a ‘water bong’ in the laundry room, a clear glass jar-like container was sitting next to it with Ma*****na inside. For the safety of all parties, officers had all individuals exit the residence. Officers and the individuals remained outside until the homeowner, Brandon Bell, age 24, arrived on scene. As Bell arrived on scene and began to take officers inside of the residence, an additional person, identified as Jacob Criss, age 27, exited through the front door, saw officers and then went back inside of the residence and closed the front door. Officers then began to clear the residence; Criss exited the residence willingly upon officers’ entrance to the residence. Eight fi****ms were located within the residence.
