When a crisis happens, our community depends on people who are ready to respond, protect, and help restore a sense of normalcy. Today, we’re thanking the dedicated teams at the Orono Police Department, Shoreline Fire MN, and Orono Public Works for the important work they do to keep our community safe.

From responding to emergencies and providing critical medical care to directing traffic, clearing debris, and cleaning up after accidents, these teams work together to help keep people safe and our roads clear. While some of their work happens in the spotlight, much of it takes place behind the scenes, often in challenging and unpredictable conditions.

To every member of these teams: thank you for your service, teamwork, and commitment to our community. We appreciate all you do, today and every day.

Today (and every day), let us honor and show support for the many first responders who act quickly during emergencies, and who protect and serve our community. A special thank you to our own Wayzata Police Department, Shoreline Fire MN Fire Department, and our Long Lake Public Works Department.
