🎉 Celebrating Mrs. Barbara Robertson! 🎉

Today, we would like to recognize and celebrate Mrs. Barbara Robertson as she prepares to retire at the end of this month from the Blount County Board of Education.

For more than 30 years, Mrs. Robertson has dedicated her time, talents, and heart to serving the students, families, and employees of the Blount County School System. Throughout her remarkable career, she has served as our Director of Nursing, providing outstanding leadership, guidance, and support to our schools and the incredible team of nurses who serve our students each day.

Her impact reaches far beyond her title. Through her dedication, compassion, professionalism, and commitment to the well-being of our students and staff, Mrs. Robertson has made a lasting difference in our school system and our community.

This morning, Mrs. Robertson attended her final Principal Meeting, marking a special milestone in a career filled with service and countless memories. While we are excited for her as she begins this new chapter, we know she will be deeply missed by the Blount County School System.

Mrs. Robertson, thank you for more than three decades of faithful service, leadership, and dedication. We are incredibly grateful for all you have done for Blount County Schools and for the lives you have touched along the way.

We wish you a wonderful, relaxing, and well-deserved retirement! ❤️

🎉 Congratulations to Mr. Gary Noles and Mr. Phil Hazelrig! 🎉

We are incredibly proud to recognize two outstanding leaders in the Blount County School System for their continued dedication and service to education.

👏 Mr. Gary Noles has been selected to serve as Treasurer of AAPASS, a well-deserved recognition for his leadership, professionalism, and commitment to serving others.

👏 Mr. Noles and Mr. Hazelrig have both been nominated to serve on the CLAS Board of Directors, further demonstrating the respect and confidence their colleagues have in their leadership.

We are also proud to recognize Mr. Hazelrig as the immediate past President of the Alabama Association of School Personnel Administrators.

The Blount County School System is fortunate to have leaders who continually go above and beyond—not only for our schools and students, but for education across our state.

Thank you, Mr. Noles and Mr. Hazelrig, for representing Blount County with excellence, integrity, and dedication. We appreciate all that you do! 💙👏

High School student leaders throughout the district met at the Professional Development Center today for our annual Peer Helpers by Thriveway training. We want to thank Mrs. Bartlett and the High School Peer Helpers by Thriveway Sponsors for making this event special for our students. Over 180 students participated in the training session.

We are also thankful for the Blount County Commission and the partnership that they have with the BCBOE. The Peer Helpers by Thriveway program would not be possible without the support from the Blount County Commission.

Come learn what it means to be a Title I parent and share your input on our family engagement efforts and priorities for the school year. Your voice helps shape the ways we support and connect with families across Blount County Schools! 💙

We will also have a member of our Technology Team sharing helpful tips for keeping children safe online, including social media and internet safety. 📱💻

You have two opportunities to participate:
