Today, our department mourns the heartbreaking loss of Officer Kristen Yeager, who made the ultimate sacrifice while responding to a call for service on May 29, 2026.

Officer Yeager served our community with courage, compassion, and unwavering dedication. She answered the call to protect and serve each day, placing the safety of others above her own. Her commitment to her badge, her fellow officers, and the citizens she served will never be forgotten.

We ask that you keep Officer Yeager’s family, friends, and our entire law enforcement family in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest easy, Officer Yeager. Your watch has ended, but your legacy of service and sacrifice will live on forever. We got it from here.

🚑 Emergency Medical Services Week 2026 🚑

Governor Josh Shapiro has officially proclaimed May 17–23, 2026, as Emergency Medical Services Week in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, recognizing the vital role EMS professionals play in protecting the health and safety of our communities.

EMS providers, career and volunteer, are ready 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to deliver lifesaving, out-of-hospital care. Their expertise, dedication, and commitment to ongoing education and service dramatically improve survival and recovery for patients experiencing sudden illness or injury.
Throughout this week, we encourage Pennsylvanians to join us in honoring the hard work and accomplishments of EMS professionals and to participate in activities that recognize this essential public service.

May is recognized as Mental Health Awareness Month, a time dedicated to shining a light on the importance of emotional well being and breaking down the stigma that still surrounds mental health. At its core, Mental Health Awareness Month is about making sure no one feels like they have to navigate their struggles alone. It invites all of us to check in with ourselves and with the people we care about—and to build a culture where mental well being is supported every day, not just in May.

Now Enrolling: Accelerated EMT Course

Muhlenberg Area Ambulance Association Training Center is now accepting applications for our upcoming accelerated EMT course.

This course is scheduled to run:
June 29, 2026 – July 24, 2026
Monday through Friday
8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
8-hour days

Tuition is $1,700 and includes:
• First attempt NREMT testing fee
• Uniform
• Textbook and workbook
• Testing and scheduling tools
• Stethoscope

Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
