🐾 Important Shelter Update: Temporary Dog Adoption & Intake Restrictions 🐾

The health and safety of the animals in our care remain a top priority at Coweta County Animal Services.

Due to a confirmed case of canine parvovirus (parvo), we have temporarily paused all dog adoptions and restricted dog intake to emergency public safety situations only while we take the necessary precautions to prevent further spread.

🐱 Good News for Our Feline Friends! Cat adoptions remain OPEN and are operating as normal! If you're looking to welcome a new furry friend into your family, we encourage you to visit our adoptable cats. ❤️

🐶 A Reminder to Dog Owners: Parvo is a highly contagious and potentially deadly virus, but it is also preventable through proper vaccination. Please ensure your dogs are up to date on their vaccinations and contact your veterinarian immediately if you notice signs of illness.

💉 Worried About the Cost of Vaccinations? We understand that veterinary expenses can be a financial burden for some families, but protecting your pet doesn't always have to come at a high cost! If you're experiencing financial constraints, we encourage you to Google "Low-Cost Pet Vaccinations in Coweta County, GA" to explore affordable vaccination clinics and community resources in our area. You can also contact local veterinary providers to ask about low-cost vaccination options. Every pet deserves access to preventative care, regardless of their family's financial circumstances. ❤️

We understand these temporary restrictions may be inconvenient, especially for those hoping to adopt or needing assistance. We appreciate our community's patience and understanding as we work to protect the animals in our care and prevent further spread.

❤️ Our commitment to the animals and residents of Coweta County remains unchanged. Please be patient while we work through this quarantine. We look forward to resuming normal operations as soon as it is safe to do so.

📢 Please review the flyer below for additional information and updates.

Thank you for your continued support of Coweta County Animal Services! 🐾

Meet Bill, your little dragon! 🐉✨

Boo! Did Bill scare you? Probably not. He's too busy being adorable in his shimmery purple dragon costume.

Bill has been practicing his best "please take me home" look, and honestly, it's working. He'll tilt his head, gaze up at you, and melt your heart on the spot.

Why Bill is a treasure worth hoarding:

Rocks a scaly cape, hood, and bow tie like a total pro 👑
Sweet, gentle, and happy to sit pretty for photos
Breathes zero fire, only love (and maybe a few happy snorts)
Has a nose made for boops 🐽
Bill isn't looking for a castle or a pile of gold. He just wants a warm lap, a cozy couch, and a family to call his own. Halloween is spooky, but the scariest thing in Bill's life is not having a home.

Could you be his forever human? Come meet him in person and see how fast he steals your heart. 💜

Ginger waited at the door for someone to come back for her. They never did. 💔 350 days later she is wanting to know if her special person may be you?
Ginger is 2 years old, a gentle mixed breed with a tan coat and soft swirling stripes, like brushstrokes. She'll sit for her yummies and look up at you with eyes that say she's ready to trust again, live again and have a family of her own. 🦴
She doesn't ask for much. Just someone to come home to, a warm place to rest her head, and a reason to wag her tail.
Her one year shelter anniversary is just 15 days away. Could you be the one who finally chooses her? ❤️
If you are unable to adopt, please share her post, so that Ginger can celebrate her best days yet!
