We have great news!

Starting in the month of November we will be showing movies at the library for free of course!

Come get your early tickets at the library, ( available starting on Tuesday October 13th) the first 25 tickets will include popcorn, candy and a drink!

We have a big production over here, big speakers, a projector with a big screen and lots of room for you to spread out.

Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, pillows or whatever you want to make yourself comfortable.

We will be setup in the old gym area ( now church) but the entrance will be through the main library doors to avoid interruptions from the side door.

Enter through the library to pick up your snacks and drinks before the movie starts. That way I can keep track of people.

By picking up your tickets early, you give us an idea of how many people is planning to attend. It helps me keep good record of it since this will be a new program and your participation counts when we report to the State Library.

This was something I really wanted to do for years, we finally were able to afford it, between a grant and our programming budget we want to offer this night out right here in Dora!

Your support shows when we write a grant, when we report on it, when we share the outcomes and pictures that tell a story.

I hope you take this opportunity to get together with your friends and neighbors and watch a family friendly movie and you don’t even have to get your house ready for company. Let us do the set up and the clean up.

You just have to show up.

Stressed over Thanksgiving dinner? Come and watch a movie and relax for a few hours!

We had a super cozy night today!

I learned to cross stitch ( a simple stitch nothing crazy ) reignited the love for painting for somebody else and a seasoned crafter started a new project she never tried before.

I’ll see you guys Wednesday and I’ll show you what I’m working on. ❤️

All the crafts are on the desk ( see pic ) pick one and have fun!

Tomorrow cozy nights are from 7-8pm

Cozy night is starting in 40 min! We have a couple of ladies joining us for tea and pastries. Somebody is starting color by number and another one is doing diamond painting.

☕🍂 Cozy Hour is happening all week! 🍂☕

Monday through Friday, join us during the last hour the library is open for a little extra coziness,dim lights, warm drinks, good books, puzzles, crafts, and, this week, some special treats!

Since I’m the one doing the baking, I thought it would be fun to share a few of my favorite treats from Uruguay throughout the week. 🇺🇾

Tomorrow’s treat: Corazanes Dulces Uruguayos! We will also have tea and hot cocoa available. Don't be late, cozy hour tomorrow starts at 6pm and ends at closing 7PM.

I plan to finish my work early and start a paint by number I want to frame for the library.

Come cozy up with us, try something a little different, and enjoy a sweet taste of Uruguay at the library. I can’t wait to share these with you!

East of Eden is officially out on Netflix today October 1st!

I’ve heard so many good things already, and now I’m really curious to see how the series compares to Steinbeck’s book.

There’s something so fun about reading a book and then watching the adaptation especially when you can catch all the little details, changes, and differences along the way.

Are you planning to watch it? Have you read East of Eden? I’d love to hear what you think!
