🐟💚 We have some exciting TROUT news!

Our little trout are growing, and we’re officially seeing some FRY swimming around! 🎉

Did you know baby trout go through different stages?

🥚 Eggs: Where their journey begins!

🐟 Alevin: Newly hatched trout that still have little yolk sacs attached to their bellies. These provide all the nutrients they need!

💦 Fry: Once those yolk sacs are absorbed, the baby trout start swimming freely and searching for food!

If you look closely at the picture, you can see the fry swimming near the top and the alevin still hanging out at the bottom!

How cool is it that Mrs. Hemsley’s students get to watch this life cycle happen right in their classroom?! 💚

Stay tuned! Our little trout have lots of growing to do! 🐟

Thank you to all who attended our Chipotle event last last! I’m not sure how much we raised just yet, but I appreciate the support for our boys and girls basketball program!

Best,
Mr. Spohr, Athletic Director
