🔴 “Drug Free is the Way to BE!” at Ustach Middle School! 🚫🐻 🐾

Our Ustach Phast JV Club took center stage this week to lead the way during Red Ribbon Week! Student leaders stepped up to educate their peers on the harmful effects of to***co, drugs, and alcohol, proving that learning from each other is the best way to make a difference. 💡🤝

The Kodiaks celebrated with an exciting lineup of trivia, music, and interactive games during lunch! It was an incredible afternoon filled with fun, learning, and school spirit. 🎶🏆

Way to go, Kodiaks, for taking a stand and choosing a healthy, drug-free lifestyle!

🔥 Red Ribbon Week at Orchard Elementary! 🚒🦉💚💛

The Orchard Owls had an absolute blast today during a special visit from the Modesto Fire Department! Our local firefighters gave a fantastic presentation on Fire Safety, complete with an epic race to see who could put on their turn-out gear the fastest! 🚒👨‍🚒

The entire school participated and learned so much about staying safe and healthy. A massive THANK YOU to the Modesto Fire Department for your incredible partnership, outreach, and continuous support for our students, staff, and families. You help make our school community extra special! ❤️🦉

We are incredibly proud of Osayi, our Sylvan STEAM Academy Student Ambassador, who was recognized at last night’s board meeting. Seeing the deep love and support from his family was a powerful reminder of what makes our community so special. Their pride in Osayi inspired everyone in the room.

As we “fall back,” please keep these safety tips in mind:

Evening Safety: It will start getting dark earlier in the evening, so please take extra care when driving, walking, or biking around sunset.

Morning Commute: Mornings will be brighter, but early routines might feel a bit different—give yourselves a little extra time so everyone gets to school safely and on time! 🚗🚶‍♂️

Woodrow Elementary is having a McTeacher’s Night to support Woodrow students and staff on Tuesday, November 17th!

Join Woodrow Elementary on Tuesday, November 17th, from 3 PM to 7 PM at McDonald’s on Tully Road (Tully and Standiford Ave) for a fun evening supporting Woodrow Elementary school.

Order through the drive-thru, dine-in, delivery, curbside, or takeout. A portion of all incremental sales goes directly back to Woodrow Elementary!

Come enjoy some McDonald’s, watch your favorite Woodrow staff members work, and meet the McDonald’s Grimace!

Every order makes a difference. The more food they sell, the more money we raise for Woodrow Wildcats!

Wednesday’s Fall Concert was nothing short of amazing. Huge praise to Ms. Collision for her brilliant leadership and to our students for an incredible show!

EL Field trip to Parent Math Night!

It was wonderful to see our adult learners practicing their English, interacting with families, and sharing what they’ve learned. A special thank you to Jennifer Benitez, teacher at Mary Ann Sanders, and Kristin Berengue, teacher at CF Brown, for walking alongside our students, encouraging them to participate, and creating opportunities for them to put their learning into practice.

Nights like this remind us that learning truly has no age limit—and when we learn together, our entire community benefits. 📚

District-Wide Parent Math Night! ✏️✖️➕➗➖

What a wonderful evening of learning, connection, and collaboration! We are so thankful to all of our dedicated staff members who participated in our District-wide Parent Math Night, and to the families and students who joined us! ❤️

Together, we gained valuable insight into our newly adopted math curriculum and learned strategies and approaches that can help support our students’ learning beyond the classroom.

Nights like this are a wonderful bridge between school and home, giving families the tools and confidence to continue supporting their students’ mathematical growth.

Thank you to our community partners for attending to provide valuable resources to our students and families.
