🦸 Be a Hero for Milford's Kids – Help Prevent Lead Poisoning! πŸ‘Ά

This National Lead Poisoning Prevention Week (October 25–31), the Milford Health Department is joining national partners in raising awareness about the dangers of lead exposure and the simple steps families can take to keep children safe.

Lead can be found in homes built before 1978, old paint, contaminated soil, and some plumbing. Even low levels of lead exposure can affect a child's growth, learning, and development.

βœ… If your home was built before 1978, learn about lead-safe renovation and maintenance practices.
βœ… Talk to your child's healthcare provider about lead testing, especially for young children.
βœ… Learn how to identify and reduce lead hazards in and around your home.

Together, we can help ensure every child in Milford has a safe and healthy place to grow.
