Today we celebrated our amazing 2nd graders as they officially complete their journey at Lynn Fanning Elementary School! 🎓💜🐾

Many of our Panthers will soon become Warriors, at Moores Mill Intermediate School, and we could not be more proud of all they’ve accomplished. ❤️💙

Congratulations to our students and families on this exciting milestone. Once a Panther, always a Panther!

What a joy it was to watch our kindergarteners cross such an impactful milestone today!!! 🥹🎓 They were absolutely adorable, and our little Panthers are growing up so fast! 💜🐾

Be on the lookout for the celebration yard signs — we are SO proud of our Panthers!

Tomorrow it’s time to celebrate our amazing 2nd graders as they prepare for their next big adventure at MMIS! We can’t wait!!!

💜💛 Please join us in welcoming Mr. Samuel Walker to the Lynn Fanning Elementary family as our new Assistant Principal! 💜💛

Mr. Walker is honored to serve the LFES community and is excited to return to a place that has played such an important role in his journey as an educator. In many ways, this opportunity feels like coming full circle. Mr. Walker began his career at Lynn Fanning in 2014 as an afterschool care worker, where he first experienced the strong sense of family, support, and commitment to students that makes LFES so special.

Since then, he has served students and families in both Auburn City Schools and Madison County Schools, teaching 2nd, 5th, and 6th grades before most recently serving as Assistant Principal at Meridianville Middle School.

Mr. Walker earned his Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Auburn University, his Master of Science in Elementary Education from Troy University, and his Instructional Leadership Certification from the University of West Alabama.

His educational philosophy is rooted in the belief that “everyone can.” He believes that when students are supported, challenged, and truly seen, there is no limit to what they can achieve. Mr. Walker is passionate about building confidence, fostering resilience, and creating a school culture where students, staff, and families feel valued, empowered, and inspired to grow together.

We are excited for the leadership, compassion, and student-centered mindset Mr. Walker will bring to LFES. Please help us give him a warm Panther welcome!

☀️ Day 2 of Field Day was another huge success! ☀️

Thank you again to all of our amazing parent volunteers for your time, support, and dedication. Your help behind the scenes, encouragement to our students, and positive energy made the day run smoothly and created so many fun memories for our kids.

Today was an amazing start to our Fun Field Day! ☀️🎉

A huge THANK YOU to all of our incredible parent volunteers who gave their time, energy, and support to help make DAY 1 such a success.

Cheering on students and keeping everything running smoothly, we truly could not have done it without you.

The smiles, laughter, teamwork, and excitement throughout the day made it so special for our students. Thank you for helping create such fun memories and for always showing up to support our school community.

🎒 EARLY DISMISSAL - MAY 19 & MAY 20 🎒

REMINDER:
Tuesday, May 19 & Wednesday, May 20 are scheduled Half-Days for all Madison County Schools as we head into summer break. The dismissal schedule is consistent with previous early dismissal days.

District dismissal times are listed below:
• 11:30 dismissal - High Schools and Middle Schools
• 12:30 dismissal - Elementary, Intermediate, and K-8 Schools

🎒 May 20, 2026 is the last day of school for all students.

🎒 Please check for additional details from your child's school regarding dismissal procedures and campus-specific information.
