Join us for Contra Costa County’s Annual Summer Block Party from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 29th, at Pleasant Hill Library, 2 Monticello Ave.

Contra Costa County is bringing its popular annual Block Party to Central County in partnership with the City of Pleasant Hill and Supervisor Ken Carlson's Office.

This free, family-friendly celebration combines fun with convenience, giving residents the chance to connect with their local government in one lively location. County departments—including the Contra Costa Public Defender’s Office, Clerk-Recorder-Elections Department, Employment & Human Services Department, County Public Works, and Contra Costa Health—will join the City of Pleasant Hill to offer a wide range of on-the-spot services, helpful resources, and community information, all while enjoying a festive atmosphere with activities for all ages.

Supporting Your Child's Behavioral Health: An Introduction to BrightLife Kids

Storytime with AAC aims to support families/caregivers of emergent communicators by demonstrating language using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems, helping children develop a love of reading and building language through shared interaction and connection.

This event is intended for those who are learning to communicate using AAC systems. All ages and abilities are welcome.
