Our infamous Rangemaster, Sgt. D. Clements, has retired after 31 years of dedicated service to the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office. Please join us in congratulating him on his retirement. Most of the current deputies, officers, and jailers in the Lubbock Region have crossed paths with Sgt. Clements during their careers. Sgt. Clements has been instrumental in teaching an entire generation of officers. And that was after a storied career as a criminal investigator with the Sheriff’s Office. We wish Sgt. Clements the best of luck on his next adventure; the range is always open to you sir!

Scammers are working overtime this summer.

We have gotten a significant increase in calls regarding scammers posing as Lubbock County Sheriff's Deputies. These are not real deputies!!! Do not pay use over the phone -- we will not ask you to do that. If a caller threatens you with a warrant, arrest, or license suspension, they are not a real LSO deputy. Hang up or ignore the text, report the scam directly to IC3 on our app.

The 13th Annual Friends of Law Enforcement Tournament is gearing up to take flight.

This year we will be teeing off in two flights on October 19th. Registration is open to the public. We are looking for both teams and event sponsors. We hope to see even more of you out there this year.

The Lubbock County Sheriff’s Employee Association is a 501(c)5 nonprofit organization that is devoted to helping employees in times of need. The golf tournament is our main fundraising event. Deputy Hunter has retired after 27 years and 8 months of dedicated service to the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office. Please join us in congratulating him on his retirement. We wish Deputy Hunter the best of luck on his next adventure. The Civil Division will not be the same without him. Deputy has been a pillar of knowledge and experience for our younger deputies and a dedicated public servant.

🚨🚨Scam Alert 🚨🚨

We are getting an increase in scam reports. Scammers are posing as deputies. The scammers are stating that you missed jury duty, have a warrant, or missed a fine payment. They are demanding money immediately and using threats of arrest. These are not real deputies.

Do not make any payments to the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office over the phone. You can always call us at 806-775-1600 option 2, if you have questions. You can view information on local scams on our app.

We will be observing National Peace Officer Memorial Day on Friday, May 15th, by standing watch over the name plates of each of our fallen officers at the Lubbock Regional Public Safety Memorial. We will begin our vigil at 8:00 a.m. At the top of each hour, we will announce the name of a fallen deputy from our agency and an Honor Guard member will take up a post over the deputy’s name on the memorial wall. Our watch will conclude at 12 noon, after all four deputies are honored.

This event is open to all members of the Lubbock community and all law enforcement officers. You are welcome to join us for any amount of time your personally deem appropriate or have the ability to dedicate.
