Good luck to both Logan High School and Man High School today as they look to battle their way to the State Championship!

Both teams went 1-1 yesterday to keep their championship aspirations alive.

First pitch for both games will be around noon, with opponents TBD based on who wins this mornings games.

If victorious, they will play around 3 p.m. for the championship!

Good luck Hillbillies and Wildcats, all of Logan County is pulling for you!

Congratulations to Logan High School and Man High School on their opening round victories in the WVSSAC State Softball Tournament!

The Wildcats defeated Midland Trail 5-0 behind a dominant 15 K pitching performance by Myleigh Adkins, who also didn't give up a base hit in the shutout.

The Hillbillies defeated Ritchie County 5-2, Mia Johnson led the way with 2 RBI's and 2 runs scored while striking out 9 from the pitchers mound.

Logan High School will face Oak Glen in their 2nd round matchup today around 1pm

Man High School will battle it out with Sherman around 2pm

Logan County Schools is proud to be named a National Beta District of Distinction — the only district in West Virginia to receive the honor and one of only 95 districts across the United States.

Yesterday’s Board of Education meeting was a special celebration of not only this outstanding achievement, but also the amazing students whose hard work, leadership, academic excellence, and dedication made it possible.
Our students continue to represent Logan County with pride and excellence, and we could not be prouder of all they have accomplished. Congratulations to our Beta students, sponsors, educators, and families on this well-deserved recognition!

Today, our students at Logan and Man High Schools had the incredible opportunity to team up with the interior design experts from ZMM Architecture to map out a complete redesign of their library spaces.

Students brainstormed and shared their biggest hopes and ideas for the ultimate learning environment.

The ZMM team provided expert guidance and listened to every detail of our students' vision.

We are incredibly thankful to ZMM’s interior design team, led by Carly Chapman, for volunteering their time and bringing their expertise to our campus. Thank you for investing in our community and helping us build a space for our students!

Real-World Skills Making a Real Difference!

Students in our Career & Technical Education (CTE) Program recently put their welding skills to work on a project at Chief Logan State Park!

Working alongside park staff, students designed and built a safer solution to help fill the swimming pool from the creek.

We are proud to see our students applying hands-on skills to solve real community challenges while gaining valuable career experience. Great work by our talented CTE students and instructors!

Attention Logan Elementary School community,

At the next Logan County Schools board meeting on May 26th, there will be a countywide facilities update.

This will include an update regarding the LES building as we continue our recovery efforts from the fire in February.

We would like to thank LES parents and staff for their continued understanding and patience as we work through this process.
