Join us tomorrow evening for the Carbon County Community Foundation’s Spring Grants & Scholarships Awards Celebration as we present more than $80,000 in grants and scholarships and recognize this year’s recipients.

🏆 Mauch Chunk Trust Company was honored to receive a Corporate Business Leadership Award at the Carbon County Community Foundation's 10-Year Anniversary Celebration. Pictured are Thomas R. Mr. Joseph J. Velitsky, Esq., Class of 1962 was recently honored with the Trusted Advisor Award at the Carbon County Community Foundation 10th Anniversary Celebration. Marian Catholic High School was proud to be the Dinner Sponsor for the event and Board member Maria Montero presented Joe with the award on behalf of the Carbon County Community Foundation.

Among the Marian alumni in attendance were Jim Sauka ’66, Dave McAndrew ‘97, Attorney Joe Velitsky ‘62, Joanne Cannon Walker ’64, Sr. Rose Mulligan IHM ’84, Attorney Maria Montero ’94 and Mark Sverchek ’73.

Today, we had the opportunity to visit our friends at the Scranton Area Community Foundation to learn about PA Navigate through a presentation by the Community Action Association of Pennsylvania.

PA Navigate is a free online platform that helps connect Pennsylvanians with local services and support, making it easier to find assistance with needs like housing, food, healthcare, transportation, childcare, and more.

We’re always looking for ways to learn about programs and services that can benefit our communities. By staying informed, we can better support the local nonprofits and community organizations that are working every day to help Carbon County residents access the assistance they need.

Join us next week for our Spring Grants & Scholarships Awards Celebration on Wednesday, June 17th at 6:30 PM at the Orioles Community Center.

We’ll be celebrating the students, nonprofits, and community organizations receiving more than $80,000 in grants and scholarships this year.

🍕 Pizza Plant food truck will be on site beginning at 6:00 PM with food available for purchase.
