Thank you Nexstar and WDAF-TV FOX4 Kansas City for choosing to support Kids With Courage and our Type 1 community with one of your 30 Days of Giving Grants and spotlighting our mission on air. Your grant represents our shared goals of empowering our children and families who fight big battles every day and our communities in general. Your support inspires our progress and we're excited to create more meaningful work together. We're deeply grateful!

If one or two pictures could describe why getting together with community matters, this is it.

Birdie K and River W met each other as Ambassador volunteers for our gala event this past November; they see each other at KWC Day at the K. Two little kids battling Type 1 connect.

There's something special about being with a community who understand your journey.

Needless to say they both signed up to be Ambassadors 2026!

THANK YOU K.C. ROYALS!!! It couldn't have been a more perfect day with 76 degree temperatures, sunny skies and a Royals win.

And, thank you Beta Bionics and Sequel Med Tech for sponsoring KWC Day at the K; Sparky the Clown brought the laughs; Glowcose provided the raffle fun; Price Chopper, Gary & Deborah Koepke and Mark & Rhonda Haile fed us with tailgate food; and, the amazing people at the Dream Factory, our sidekicks always by our side. Our caring volunteers pulled it all together who continually give selfishly, their time, energy and money.

It was great seeing and meeting new families where Type 1 is battled. A great time was had by all! There's something special about being with a community who understand your journey.

For those who couldn't find our tailgate location due to FIFA World Cup set up, we're sorry we missed you.

Your support inspires our progress and we're excited to create more meaningful work together. We're deeply grateful!

We had an overwhelming number of highly qualified applicants from all across Missouri and Kansas. Deciding the scholarship recipients is truly the most difficult decision we at Kids With Courage have to make. We truly wish we had enough funds to give all of the deserving applicants a scholarship. Thank you to all who applied. YOU truly are amazing and an incredible Type 1 Champion!

Yesterday was a great day for golf at the annual Lickel Classic! Hosted by the amazing people at Lickel Architecture who have the best golf event in town! Caring people, great prizes, fun games, good food, and great weather supporting our cause.

A huge thank you to Lickel Architecture owner Dan Lickel, his amazing staff, family, friends, clients and all who came to play in this incredibly fun event. Your support enables us to continue our important work, brings awareness to Type 1, and makes a big difference in our community! You're the best!!
