Chamber members had an opportunity to sit down and enjoy a meal at Summit Pizza Lee's Summit this afternoon with owners Susan Sims and Max Sisson.

Members ordered lunch and listened as Susan and Max shared their journeys in business ownership and touched on their commitment to community through their support of area nonprofits.

Most recently, they supported Harvesters - The Community Food Network as a sponsor and participant in the nonprofit's annual Feastival Fundraiser event at Union Station to fight regional food insecurity.

The Leadership Lee's Summit Class of 2027 kicked off their 9-month program today!

After hearing from guest speaker and entrepreneur extraordinaire Paul Kushnir during our Breakfast for Champions event, participants spent the day getting to know each other better through leadership training courses and guided team-building activities.

It was an inspirational morning at our Breakfast for Champions event!

Speaker Paul Kushnir shared his incredible entrepreneurial story with us. Born in Ukraine, Paul's family migrated to Canada and then to the United States. From a young age, he learned the value of taking risks, embracing change, and believing in what’s possible.

Alongside his brother Mike, Paul has started several businesses and achieved 3 successful exits. Their largest operation was Wireless Lifestyle, which started in 2004 with 4 stores and eventually grew it to 230 stores across 14 states becoming Sprints largest and most respected dealer in the nation.

And Paul isn't slowing down. In 2024 Paul and his two sons, Ethan and Eli, purchased territory for a new retail franchise called PayMore. They've already opened 5 locations in KC and 2 in St. Louis, with a goal of 13-15 locations in KS and MO over the next couple of years.

Paul is a shining example of how adaptability, the courage to take chances, and belief in yourself and your team can take you beyond your wildest dreams.

Wings 4 Water at Paragon Star was an absolute blast yesterday.

We ate our way through some of the best wings in the Midwest, from classic buffalo to creative flavors like Korean Fried Chicken, and the energy was incredible!

The Chamber made a passport to encourage visitors to visit every Chamber member on the map for a chance to win a raffle prize.

But the best part? Every delicious bite and every dollar voted for our favorite wings (the Cherrywood Sweet Heat from Chamber Chef Austin Gray, of course) went to an amazing cause.

Wings 4 Water's mission is to provide clean water to people across the globe, and thanks to attendees, this fun competition has helped change over 11,000 lives within the last few years.

It’s more than just a wing cook-off; it's a testament to how our community can come together for good.

A huge shout out to every Chamber member who competed, and to those who volunteered to grill and serve for the LS Chamber Wing Team. We couldn't have done it without Chef Austin and his amazing team.
