Today, we want to give a massive shoutout and a very bittersweet congratulations to the wonderful Mrs. Cathy Harriman on her retirement from the Sullivan County School District! 🥳🎉

After many incredible years of dedicated service as a paraprofessional, Mrs. Harriman is officially turning the page to her next great chapter.

Beyond her incredible heart for kids, she brought so much color to our schools. Her creativity and artistic talents turned ordinary days (and classrooms!) into something truly special. ✨✂️🎨

Mrs. Harriman, you are going to be deeply missed by the students, the staff, and the entire Sullivan County community. Thank you for your endless patience, your brilliant creativity, and the countless lives you’ve impacted.

🚨 SPEEDING TICKETS ISSUED AT SULLIVAN COUNTY ELEMENTARY! 🚨

Parents, don't worry—this is the best kind of traffic violation! 🛑📚

Officer Reeves pulled over some of our amazing primary grade students this week for speeding through their books and showing incredible improvement in their reading fluency! 🏎️💨📖

Our hard-working readers didn't just get a ticket, though. Officer Reeves also handed over a special token to use at the school book vending machine so they can pick out a brand-new book to keep their reading engines running all summer long! ☀️☀️

We are so proud of our speedy readers and incredibly grateful to Officer Reeves for keeping our students motivated and excited about literacy.

🦎 Going Retro in Second Grade! 🦎

Mrs. Denmon and Mrs. Schneider’s second graders took a trip back in time today! Our creative kiddos channeled some serious '90s nostalgia by making their very own beaded lizard keychains.

There was so much concentration in the room as they picked out their perfect color patterns, mastered the art of threading, and counted out their beads. Not only did they make an awesome retro accessory for their backpacks, but they also got a fantastic workout for their fine motor and math skills!

🍎 Happy Retirement, Mrs. Colleen Metzger! 🚌✨
Today, we celebrate and honor the incredible career of Mrs. Colleen Metzger, who is officially retiring after many wonderful years of dedicated service to the Sullivan County School District!
As a beloved paraprofessional and bus driver, Mrs. Metzger has been a guiding light, a helping hand, and a source of endless kindness in our classrooms. Whether she was helping a student master a tough lesson, offering a reassuring smile in the hallways, or supporting our teaching staff behind the scenes, her impact on our school community is immeasurable.
It goes without saying that she will be greatly missed by both the students who adored her and the staff who relied on her warmth and wisdom every single day.

Talk about wrapping up the school year in style! To celebrate our amazing students on their very last day, the Sullivan County Elementary staff suited up for the ultimate, high-stakes, hilarious Inflatable Costume Race!
There was running, there was wobbling, there was a lot of deflating, and there was endless laughter from the sidelines.

☀️ What a beautiful day for some kickball! ☀️
Today, our awesome 6th graders stepped onto the field for an epic, high-stakes kickball showdown against some very special guests: Pennsylvania State Police Officers, our very own Officer Reeves and Superintendent Samantha Kahler!
The sun was shining, the energy was electric, and the competitive spirit was real. There were big kicks, amazing catches, and plenty of laughs all around.
A huge thank you to our guest players and to our amazing team of pitchers Mr. Hoffman, Mrs. Hill, Mrs. Burgett, and Mrs. Wettlaufer for being such incredible sports and taking the time to make unforgettable memories with our students. We love our community! 🔴👟💨
