Eagles Mere Borough Eagles Mere, PA Eagles Mere is a small community in the endless mountains region of north eastern Pennsylvania.

There are 120 full time residents, but during the summer that number swells to over 3,000. Eagles Mere is a summer resort boasting the pristine private lake and many activities surrounding it. In the winter, the toboggan slide is the main attraction if conditions allow. The town center is home to specialty shops, eateries, and the museum with its rich old time history. Visitors and residents alike enjoy year round events, summer craft & antique shows, and concerts.

PUBLIC NOTICE of upcoming Zoning Hearings.

The Eagles Mere Zoning Hearing Board will meet on October 28th, 2025 at 6 pm at the Borough Hall, 915 Laporte Ave, Eagles Mere PA. This is a public meeting and anyone with concerns regarding these hearings should plan to attend or contact the Borough Office to call in. Emails with comments or concerns may be sent to Zoning .org.

Case #1- The Eagles Mere Federated Church is requesting a subdivision that will leave the Church on a 7,395 sq ft lot that is smaller than the minimum lot size of 12,000 sq ft. Parcel #05-004-0063 is located in a C-2 district at 909 Laporte Ave, Eagles Mere PA.

Case #2- Rob Laudeman of 78 Mineral Ave, Eagles Mere PA, is requesting a variance for a carport that would be imposing upon the side setbacks of the house. Parcel #05-048-0004.

Case #3 Eaglets Hideaway LLC located at 487 Lakewood Ave is asking for a variance to build a recreation center on parcel #05-001-0058-001, adjacent to the beach. This lot is located in the R-1 district and is 30,927 square feet. This does not meet the 50,000 square foot minimum to be a buildable lot.

Eagles Mere Borough is seeking a part-time Streets Helper to assist with various tasks including garbage collection, road and grounds maintenance, snow plowing, and equipment operation. This position requires physical fitness and stamina, with most duties being seasonal. The role is available immediately and will continue through the fall of 2025.
