Today our Academic Scholars participated in a lesson about the Day of the Dead celebration. Student Government rep Heng Li hosted story time, and librarian Sherri Alston provided information about the history and culture surrounding this iconic celebration. The celebration continued in Mrs. Gardner's room, where the students enjoyed authentic Mexican cuisine, provided by Mrs. Angeles Reyes! Thank you, Mrs. Gardner, Mrs. Walker, Mrs. Alford and your wonderful staff for continuing to partner with the library! Our Reading Around the World theme continues to expose our scholars to diverse cultures and experiences. It's time to pack our bags and see where our world tour takes us next...

Our talented Bruin artists have been exploring the power of proportion in art! Students learned how artists use proportion to create realistic images or intentionally exaggerate features to produce surreal, imaginative works of art. From realistic scenes to larger-than-life creations, our students put their learning and creativity on full display!

Learning is an art, and our Bruins are mastering it! 💙💛
