Kountze ISD Community Update

We are pleased to announce that power has been fully restored to all Kountze ISD facilities. Our staff will be prepared and ready to welcome students back to school on Tuesday, September 8th.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Biskamp Electric and Entergy for their quick response and hard work in restoring electrical service to our campuses. Their efforts helped us get our facilities back up and running as quickly as possible.

Thank you to our students, staff, families, and community for your patience and support. We look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Tuesday morning!

Dear Kountze ISD Families and Staff,

Due to extensive power outages and flooded roadways, Kountze ISD campuses will remain closed at this time.

Our district is actively evaluating each campus and remains in communication with utility providers as we work to assess conditions and prepare for the safe return of our students and staff.

At this time, school is scheduled to resume on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

Your safety is our priority. Please use caution and make safe decisions while traveling.
Never drive through flooded roads or standing water. Turn around and use an alternate route.
Stay away from downed power lines and never drive over them. Assume all downed electrical lines are energized.

We will provide additional updates as more information becomes available. Thank you for helping us keep our community safe. Please stay alert, stay informed, and take care of one another in the Kountze ISD Lion Pride!

Due to power outages from the storm we will not have school again tomorrow, Wednesday, September 2nd. We will continue to monitor tomorrow and send out notifications about school for Thursday.

Kountze ISD Families and Staff,

Out of an abundance of caution due to anticipated weather conditions, Kountze ISD will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, September 1, 2026. We will resume normal operations on Wednesday.

The safety of our students, staff, and families is our top priority. We will continue to closely monitor weather conditions and will provide additional updates as necessary regarding any changes.

We will decide on a make-up day at a later date.

We appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued support of Kountze ISD.
