Tonight around 8:30 p.m., Engine 32, Harris County ESD 11 Mobile Healthcare and Harris County Sheriff's Office responded to a 2-car rollover crash at Kuykendahl Rd and Saddlecreek Dr.

As we wrap up Labor Day celebrations tonight, please keep your eyes on the road, obey speed limits, and never drive distracted or impaired. Stay safe on the roads tonight!

📰🚒Fire Fact Friday: 25 Years Later Edition 🚒📰

25 years after 9/11, the mission continues. The courage that inspired a nation on September 11, 2001 lives on through everyday acts of service.

When an 86-year-old resident was injured in a fall, Quartermaster Roberts, Acting Captain Baines, and Firefighters Davis and Woeke responded with professionalism, compassion, and exceptional patient care.

The patient's family later shared their appreciation for the care provided.

These may not be the moments that make headlines, but they are the moments that define our profession and honor the legacy of those who answered the call before us.

Chief Hardy served our community with distinction during the course of his career. His influence throughout the area has been significant and his loss will be felt for years to come. We extend our condolences to his loved ones, Champions Emergency Services District fire family, and all who knew him. May his memory forever be a blessing.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Retired Fire Chief Hilland Hardy.

Chief Hardy passed away today surrounded by his family. While we mourn the loss of a great man and fire service leader, we are also grateful for the years of service, leadership, and dedication he gave to our department and our community.

Tonight, we ask our department family, friends, and community to keep the Hardy family in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this difficult time.

Once funeral and memorial arrangements have been made, we will share that information with everyone.

Many hands make light work.

With the expert hands of our mechanics, logistics and technology team, we were able to get our Wildland crews on the road within a few hours of their deployment.

Because of the trained hands of our members and personnel working the grounds at the Ross Fire, we are saving lives and property in north Texas.

⛈📰TURN AROUND, DON'T DROWN 📰⛈
Those blue skies are now shades of gray, and our drought-ridden area is getting some well-needed rain, thanks to Tropical Storm Edouard. We hope you're already at home or cautiously driving there. While we might not get as much rain as our neighbors just east of us, the Piney Woods region is still due to receive some rainfall.

Where there's rain, there's flash flooding, so be careful. Flooded roads are hard to see at night - even for us! Please stay home if you can. But if you need us, Klein Fire Department will always be there to answer the call.
