School Attendance Matters

From our littlest PreK explorers to our graduating seniors, every student is an essential part of our school family. When your child is absent, their classroom, team, and community miss their unique voice and energy!

Why Attendance Matters at Every Stage:

- In PreK and Elementary: It builds foundational reading skills, social routines, and the confidence that comes from predictable days.

- In Middle School: It helps students stay on track with fast-paced academics and fosters strong peer connections during vital transitional years.

- In High School: It directly correlates with graduation success, keeps doors open for future opportunities, and builds real-world dependability.

How to partner with us - We know that life happens—illnesses, family emergencies, and unexpected hurdles are a part of life. Our goal is to support you, not stress you out!

Thank you for partnering with us to build a bright future, one school day at a time!

Wayne County Middle School Athletics is launching its “Shoe Us the Love!” fundraiser on Monday, October 19, and it will run through November 30.

We are collecting gently worn, used, and new shoes to raise funds for our athletic programs. The shoes will also be given a second life through microenterprise opportunities that help individuals and families in need earn a living. It’s a meaningful way to support our student athletes while helping others.

Donations may be dropped off at Martha Puckett Middle School. Anyone with questions or who needs to arrange a donation may contact Sheila Brockington at 912-202-2381 or [email protected].

Thank you for your support and for helping us spread the word. Every pair makes a difference!
