Iowa Volunteer Fire Department

We are excited to announce our soon to be our apparatus. We did our research and shopped around. When it came time to make our decision, it wasn't too hard. Not only was this the truck we were looking at, but it came in lower priced than the others. The crew cannot wait to push this beauty into our new fire station. Stay on alert for details for a small "sip and see" when she is delivered!

New Order Announcement for Iowa Volunteer Fire Department.

A Fouts Commercial Crew Pumper will be rolling into their new station soon. The department wanted to prioritize crew safety, operational efficiency, and availability when looking for a new apparatus and this one checked all the boxes.

Follow along to see this truck come to life!

Thank you Louisiana Pump and Maintenance for completing our annual pump testing.

Last year for this ole girl to be tested here. She will be headed to a new home once we get our new engine.

No matter your position at work, always be willing to learn, to train, and to educate yourself with what is new and better. Yesterday, I learned strengths and weaknesses during mock drill at OHSEP. Thank you to all that Jonah and I had the privilege of meeting and working with.

Last night was double duty for us. Training, then board meeting after. The best part...Mrs. Shavon and her crew blessed us with an amazing meal. Probably the best spaghetti 🍝 ever! Thank you for what you are doing for us. We greatly appreciate it.

Many times we have been approached by people saying "We called the fire department for XYZ, but no one answered". Please, if you have an emergency, call 911! They will dispatch us quickly with all the information we need to respond.
Thank you,
Chief Lantier

Did a little something different today. Aircraft firefighting is a different kind of beast, and I had the pleasure to train with the best at LCH. Thank you Chief Primeaux for the invitation.
